We have an immediate opening for a person with at least two years of computer support experience to join our team managing our clients' IT systems. This full-time position is based at our Network Operations Center in downtown New Orleans. Microsoft or Cisco certification is preferred, and a bachelor's degree is required.
Technical Support Representative

Description:
This position's responsibilities will include troubleshooting issues via the phone/email as first level support for problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up for desktop (both hardware and software) and enterprise applications, local/networking printing, e-mail, connectivity, remote access, and hardware issues. Also, the person will work with senior systems engineers to solve more complex problems.
This person must have working knowledge of all Microsoft operating systems (XP, Vista, Server 2000 & 2003), along with Microsoft Office 2000 & 2003 suite (including Outlook Exchange email services). This person must also have conceptual knowledge of various network technologies, including cabling tapologies, gateways, bridges, routers, switches, and interconnecting LAN/WAN communication protocols (including Ethernet). This person must have 2+ years experience in a computer support environment, along with VPN & RDP experience. MCP, Net+, Sec+, MCSA certifications are preferred but not necessary. Bachelor's degree is required.
